My guess is that they targeted members with enough activity and or 'prestige' in their blogs to feel them out. In your case it seems they didn't strike the chord of appreciation and I don't blame you when they can creep someone out with old blogs and messages.

I have not, although I admit that I do not spend much time on the blogs in the past decade. I did some back when I had a gold ball, but I'm not in the mood to pay for a wonky site that has been this wonky for decades now  Joe

They seem to be trying to get rid of the real people and keep all the fakes on here. I'm not sure who or "what " is running this site anymore but, sure hope they figure things out soon. Thanks for sharing .

Yes, we seen it to and are thinking along the same line as you. IM doesn't work and even if it did most people have moved on to kik or a different app for playing so pickings have become very slim. Cams dont work so you can view or be viewed but not play together. and now the last of the things we enjoyed will soon be changed to. They have done this to themselves and I am sure they have drained the site of what profit there was so now we are all just left cold

The site CEO commented on my post re the change Did You See That When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

AH, there was no warning and the idiot Andrew knew the changeover would take time to do with everything even on the totally bug-free new code he personally wrote! How can a guy who has been writing code for supposedly as long as he has be so arrogant as to think that you have to do a Beta test to iron out the bugs and such a major change needs a warning. Glad to see even he has learned something and put the old system back. At least for now. If you see me in the real world, come say "Hi Justskin." I always behave. Preferably not well.

The guy who done it is Andrew. He had a post up and I read most of the comments. Everyone complained. He tried to explain but was losing ground. He said something to the effect that the sote had not had an uplift in quite a few years and wanted to make it easier for members. I am no where near a programmer but that shit last night sucked. He must have gotten the hint. He seems to be hell bent on a change but I believe the next one won't be as drastic. There were some members that offered to help with what they called Beta writing since they know how and some have actually worked with him at some point Wanttodoall2 postbox

Jules....its gonna happen....last night and 2 weeks ago ..was a test. Someone posted tht they are changing either to get more revenue or to sell it once again. The founder has his own forum and was here last night responding to feedback. Basically he said its gonna happen after they work out the glitches in format. We all saw it, it was a mess. Yep people said that private mailboxes were opened, old pics were brought back. It goes to show us , whenever we hit send...its out there in cyber forever. When we signed on..we agreed to the site now owning our words, pics etc. I just read on another blog that the new format had ' share' buttons to share to twitter or book face. That means any other person can share our stuffs to other social media sites. I am not about that...not at all. Many folks are packing their bags and exiting the premises~~

A lot of us saw it last night, and the response was overwhelmingly negative. There were quite a few posts about it earlier today. It seems the programmer was surprised that we weren't overjoyed with losing our accustomed interface and settings, and many fear he'll be back to try it again.

I saw it and tried to work through it, what a nightmare it was. I could not find the bloggers I like, couldn't find the groups I follow , and was totally lost. I had been thinking of upgrading, but I think I will hold off to see what changes are coming. If it changes to drastically, I will delete and be gone.

I think worse than digging up old photos was assigning one to me that wasn’t me! I was confused big time. And I didn’t like it anyway…at least not on my tablet. Maybe the full web version on my desktop would have been different. But I logged off instantly and am glad it’s gone today.

I wasn't caught up in the blog change and didn't really know anything about it until I just read your note. Is it possible that this site was hacked in some way? Or did someone have a brain fart and try to fix something that didn't need fixing? Either way, it's disturbing to think about. Jules, I have always enjoyed your posts and thoughts. but also respect the need that this site no longer seems to employ. If you leave, I feel many more will follow. You would or will be missed. Experienced it. It was crapola. You all should all know nothing deleted here really goes away. It is forever out there. I saw posts and profiles that should have been deleted or deactivated and pictures on my posts that were not my doing. So, even if I delete everything, there's no guarantee that it won't just be repurposed for their own fake propaganda - like 99% of this site already is.  Looking for Mischief

I saw it - briefly - like 12 hours total and most of that was overnight. I didn't really get enough exposure to figure most of it out, but then again if you need to "figure it out" it is by definition too hard. I also saw a few things that raised HUGE privacy concerns, like pictures of me that I thought were hidden. Not clear, but sure LOOKED like they were visible to all. Yup I saw a preview of it and it sucked. It looked the Facebook where you see everyone's post on your newsfeed, up close too. I remember the 2nd post I saw was a big pic of a teanny with his dick exposed. (Yes, HIS dick!)🤢

It did not seem to go over very well. I happened to be logged on when they switched it back to the current format yesterday. The new format was horrible, so like you I was on the cusp of deleting the blog as well.

was a weird bit when the blogs were gone and the community was active, I am not actively blogging, but those changes would drive me away. , especislly if great bloggers quit the sight

Apart from blogs being listed under the initial heading of "Community" (which is how it has been laid out on my page for quite a long time now, I haven't seen any changes. Maybe I missed it as I haven't been logged in for a few days. But having been here a long time (even longer than you I think Jules) I have seen a lot of great bloggers bemoan the fact that things have changed. I think things have changed more than a few times, but I also think we as long term bloggers change too - our motivations change, our need, or willingness to open up our thoughts change, and the people who inspire us come and go. I know one of the reasons I see fewer interesting blogs is that I spend less time looking for them. I hope you decide to ride it out and stick around, I enjoy reading your posts, one of only a few I really look forward to at the moment. Dreamer.

They wanted to be very modern and totally screwed it up. The blogs were suddenly called "Channel" or "Group" and everything was totally confusing. Nerds at work ... You no longer had an overview of your visitors, your pictures and your postings. My private mailbox was gone. And then there are the new ways to share with Facebook, Twitter, etc. Who wants that? Not me. Instead of fixing the bugs that have annoyed all bloggers for a long time, they come up with this bullshit. Luckily they got the crap undone after 24 hours. I'm afraid we will have to reckon with more bad things on this side in the future. Nachrichten an mich>> Privater Briefkasten Mailbox
